Free GRE Practice Questions

Kaplan's 20 Minute Workout

If you don’t have time for a full GRE practice test, and you need just a few sample GRE questions to see where you stand, you’ve come to the right place.

What to expect from GRE practice questions

GRE questions come in all different shapes and sizes. From verbal reasoning to quantitative reasoning and back to analytical writing, each topic tests different skills that future graduate students ought to possess.

That’s why every GRE practice question counts, and there’s no reason to wait to get started. Once you know your strengths and weaknesses, you can concentrate on developing the skills you need to succeed on Test Day.

Pacing yourself on GRE question types

The GRE contains two essays, at least two quantitative and two verbal sections, and one experimental or research section. Testing lasts a total of four hours from beginning to end.

Make sure that, as you study and prepare for GRE Test Day, you keep timing in mind and develop an approach that will help you master every question type and content area on the exam.

If you’re comfortable with the content on the GRE, have a strategic approach, and pace yourself carefully, you can meet or exceed your goals on Test Day.
